If you have ever sat around thinking, “Man, I wish I could watch the short educational segments from Marty Mitchell without scrubbing through the whole movie,” you are in luck! All three bits are now viewable on Vimeo separate from the movie. Yeehaw!
Will you be in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, April 6th? If so, you should stop by the Citrus Cel Animation Festival and watch Marty on the big screen. It is one of the selections in the “Vitamin C” block at noon. Unfortunately I cannot attend, but I hope lots of folks will be introduced to the world of “Many Maladies.”
Also, you can watch Marty online in yet another place: Newgrounds. Feel free to check it out, rate it and review it.
Marty has also been uploaded to YouTube for those who would prefer to or have to watch it that way.

Every person on the planet whose government doesn’t restrict his or her internet access will be able to see all thirteen and a half minutes in their full 720p HD glory. After three years of teasing and promising, I was finally able to show people “The Many Maladies of Marty Mitchell.” It premiered last night at the Goethe Institute in Los Angeles at a special Butcher Bird Studios Screening. Hopefully I’ll be showing it to more and more people in the very near future. Thank you to everyone who came out last night and anyone who has supported this project at any point in the process.
I uploaded a more respectable version of the homepage today and a look at the poster. I’ll likely tweak a few things on the poster soon, but this is what you get for now. Good news: The video is finished—for the most part. Ben and I will meet next week to do a final sound review and probably make a few adjustments. I have already started submitting to a few festivals. The IMDB page is up and I am trying to organize a friends and family screening. I do not know when the movie will go live on the internet just yet. That will depend on festival restrictions, but I’ll post it as soon as I know I can.
Yesterday (Feb. 7th, 2012) was the three year anniversary of that fateful day we shot the greenscreen elements in my living room for The Many Maladies of Marty Mitchell. Time really does motor by. It brings me great joy to say the show is mostly done. Ben is currently working on the music. It took me three years to finish all of the visuals so I can’t reasonably expect him to hustle through the audio in record time. He never disappoints so I’m expecting something great as soon as is feasible. In the meantime, I’ve posted an image above showing how a frame of the show progressed from a storyboard to a final image. Enjoy.
